Texol Energies has launched a new branch at Kireka-Namugongo Road, bringing the total of fuel outlets to 12.

The management said the expansion is part of the company's strategy to make Texol Energies’ fuels, lubricants and other services more accessible to motorists in other areas.

The managing director of Texol Energies, Mohammed Abdallah, opened the event with a brief history of the company over the past years, as it offered Ugandans a full range of petroleum products and services

However, Abdallah said opening a new service station nearer to the customers is indirectly making it cheaper for them to buy the company's products.

Abdallah noted that one of the company’s intentions is to uplift the livelihoods of the locals by giving them jobs. He further appreciated Boda Boda riders for being supportive to their energy business.

At the launch the Texol Energies rewarded some of its loyal customers mainly those who have been using the Texol Boda Fuel card.

Tonny Kosha, the chief marketing manager at Texol Energies, stressed that the expansion drive is partly driven by the growth of Uganda’s economy and and improvement in infrastructure which has opened up new roads and suburbs

He stressed that they rewawarded three people who are bodaboda riders a motorcycle each, and the company has more 10 bikes which are up for grabs

Kosha further added that Texol Energies values the importance of motorists that's why they encourage them to use protective gears on the road and supply them with protective gears to be safe on the road.

Kira Municipality leaders, led by mayor Julius Mutebi congratulated Texol Energies upon reaching another milestone.

Mayor Mutebi commended the company for constructing a public toilet in his area, adding that Texol Energies is not only doing business in Kiira but also cares for the well being of the people of Kira.

Mutebi implored the management of the company to give jobs to the people of Kira to address unemployment and crime rate.

The fuel company has introduced new technology innovations to the fuel distribution market such the Texol app, Tex boda fuel card, Texol premium petrol and Diesel.

“The boda community is transitioning to a cashless system through the Tex Boda fuel card, which facilitates simplicity," Shaban Kurgat, head of retail, said.

"We launched a back-to-school campaign where we supported our boda boda customers to win school fees.”
