I wish politicians could stick to one term of office - Among

The Speaker of Parliament, Ms Anita Among, has urged politicians to emulate the principle of rotarians that provides on term of office.

Speaking during the installation of William Kaguma as president of Rotary Club of Kololo-Kampala, Ms Among urged the new leadership to refrain from being self-seekers but rather support and stick to the values of Rotary International.

Kaguma replaced Hope Creator president Alex Muhweezi, who served for one year.

"The role of rotary is helping those in need and support them, let the new leadership focus and change communities and stop being selfish,” said Ms Among, who donated Shs100 million toward the activities of the Rotary Club.

The Speaker reiterated the need for the incoming leadership to stand for the truth while serving people arguing that she is not moved with the flying sanctions from developing countries.

During the installation, the club awarded outstanding major donors and outstanding Rotarians in the club.
