Bunyoro-CNOOC Masaza tournament resumestoday
The Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom -CNOOC Amasaza Cup is set to resume today Sunday), December 15, 2024, in a unique and exciting format, with matches taking place in two different districts on the same day.
In Masindi District, the Masindi Stadium will host a gala format tournament featuring three counties: Buruli, Bujenje, and Masindi Municipality.

The counties will compete against each other, with one county emerging victorious and qualifying for the next stage of the tournament.
Simultaneously, in Kagadi District, the Kagadi Model Primary School stadium will host a highly anticipated match between Buyaga West and Buyaga East counties.
According to the organizers the tournament is a celebration of unity, sportsmanship, and cultural heritage, bringing together 15 counties from the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom.
"We are trying to unite the region, sport is one thing that attracts people from all corners, we are tapping into it to unite Bunyoro subjects" Andrew Byakutaga Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom prime minister said.
The next match of the tournament is scheduled to take place on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Kakumiro District, at the Kisiita Stadium, where Bugangaizi West will face off against Bugangaizi East.
Andrew Byakutaga the Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom prime minister is encouraging football enthusiasts and fans of the participating counties to attend these exciting matches and support their favorite counties.
"Let's cheer them up, besides bonding we also want to identify talents, build sport so that we can be known nationally to be producing key talents in sports," Byakutaga noted.
