Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a subsidiary of Cassava Technologies, has launched Uganda's first Microsoft Azure Stack.

This development marks a significant milestone, enabling local businesses to access cloud solutions that comply with data regulatory requirements.

Michael Mukasa, CEO of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Uganda, emphasized the Azure Stack's potential to transform local businesses by providing cost-effective and secure cloud solutions. "This is a game-changer for local enterprises, allowing them to meet regulatory standards and run latency-sensitive applications efficiently," Mukasa stated.

Isaac, a Marketing Officer at Liquid, highlighted another crucial advantage of the Azure Stack: ensuring data sovereignty and business continuity during international outages. "By localizing data within Uganda, we reduce latency and provide uninterrupted service, even in the event of an international breakdown," he explained.

The introduction of the Azure Stack aligns with Uganda's Digital Transformation Roadmap, which aims to connect 90% of households to the internet by 2040. Liquid's investment is expected to boost cloud adoption among SMEs and support the country's burgeoning FinTech sector by ensuring compliance with local data protection laws.

Liquid has been a leading force in Uganda's technological evolution for over 15 years, and the Azure Stack launch further solidifies its commitment to driving economic and technological advancement in the region.
