With top corporate brands on board, we’re delivering Africa’s biggest tourism festival and showcasing Uganda’s unmatched Nile experience

Uganda Breweries Limited’s premium beer, Tusker Lager, renowned for its celebration of adventure and Africa’s rich heritage, has announced a long-term sponsorship of the Sauce of the Nile Festival.

This two-day tourism event will take place from February 28 to March 1, 2025, at the Nile Park Resort in Jinja.

According to the organisers, the festival aims to celebrate the River Nile through heritage, art, music, and culture.

The festival will include activities such as "Greening the Nile," where participants will plant trees and promote waste management along the river, as well as tourism exhibitions, boat cruises, live music performances, and shows by some of Uganda’s top artists.

Tickets are priced at Shs150,000 for the adventure package, with a discounted rate of Shs100,000 available through FlexiPay.

Max Noir, the Managing Director of the Nalubaale Cultural Foundation, the NGO organising the event, emphasised that the Sauce of the Nile will be more than just a festival; it will be a thrilling celebration of the Nile.

“With top corporate brands on board, we’re delivering Africa’s biggest tourism festival and showcasing Uganda’s unmatched Nile experience.” she said

Max added, “While Egypt earns $5 billion annually from Nile-related tourism, Uganda, home to the Source of the Nile, has untapped potential. We’re redefining it as ‘Sauce of the Nile’, symbolising its exceptional quality- unmatched rafting, the most powerful falls, and tropical allure.”

The festival aims to showcase Uganda’s tourism potential while promoting environmental conservation and community involvement through the initiatives of the Nalubaale Cultural Foundation.
