"Our comrade and Head of Mobilisation for NUP comrade Nyanzi Fred Ssentamu has been abducted by heavily armed men and taken away in a drone to an unknown destination!" Kyagulanyi wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Kyagulanyi added that Nyanzi was seized at Kubbiri Roundabout.
According to the Leader of Opposition, Joel Ssenyonyi, Nyanzi was abducted just moments after they had finished a meeting at NUP headquarters in Kavule.
"He was waylaid and pulled out of his car around Kubiri. Our legal team is doing everything possible to trace where he could have been taken. The regime is clearly in panic, especially as we step up efforts to demand for the release of all political prisoners." Ssenyonyi said.
At the writing of this, police has not commented on the claims of Nyanzi's abduction.
The development comes hours after Kyagulanyi said two of NUP members Rashid Kinobe and Sharif Kiyemba had been abducted by men in plain clothes.
