The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has firmly rejected circulating claims on social media regarding examination malpractice in the 2024 Uganda National Examinations for the New Curriculum.

The board described the statements as fake and urged the public to disregard them.

The misleading message claimed that teachers were improperly marking the "Activities of Integration" and awarding excessive marks, potentially constituting malpractice.

It further suggested that over two-thirds of students had suspiciously similar answers, raising doubts about the integrity of the examinations.

In response, UNEB clarified that these allegations are unsubstantiated and have no basis.

The board emphasized that no credible evidence of malpractice has been found.

UNEB urged the public and educational stakeholders to remain vigilant against false information and reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the integrity of the national examination process
