Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has commissioned a new administration block in Kikuube District, which was recently created from the mother district of Hoima.

The facility, constructed at a cost of 2.38 billion shillings, aims to bring services closer to the people.

“This facility is more than just a building; it is a symbol of our commitment to strengthen local governance and bring essential services closer to the people,” said Prime Minister Nabbanja.

“Every community deserves a government that is close to its people, a government that listens, responds, and works tirelessly to improve lives.”

The new administration block will serve as a hub for decision-making, service delivery, and community engagement.

Prime Minister Nabbanja emphasized that the facility will create opportunities for young people to access support, find resources, and engage in the development of the district.

“Projects like these also create jobs, support local businesses, and ultimately help families thrive,” she added.

The Prime Minister thanked the team from her office for their efforts in realizing the project through the DRDIP initiative.

She also highlighted that the DRDIP project has invested over 20 billion shillings in infrastructure construction in Kikuube District over the last five years.

“This infrastructure development is meant to reduce the negative impacts of hosting refugees among our population,” said Prime Minister Nabbanja.

“The project investments have led to increased harmony between refugees and host communities and expanded asylum space in the district.”

Nabbanja said the government has decided to approach the World Bank for DRDIP Phase 2, which will consolidate the gains and achievements in Kikuube and other refugee-hosting districts.
