The Katukiro of Busoga, Joseph Muvawala, has highlighted the importance of cohesion in fostering community development and unity among the Basoga people.

"Cohesion is the backbone of our community's progress," Muvawala stated. "When we work together, sharing common values and goals, we become unstoppable."

Muvawala outlined seven key traits that promote cohesion among the Basoga:

  • Shared values and norms
  • Trust and mutual support
  • Effective communication and interaction
  • Inclusiveness and participation
  • Emotional bonds
  • Collective goals and identity
  • Resilience

"These elements are crucial for building a strong, united community," Dr. Muvawala emphasized. "By embracing our cultural traditions, language, and religious beliefs, we reinforce our social ties and promote unity."
