Bishop Christopher Kakooza of the Lugazi diocese has urged students at St. Francis School of Health Sciences in Mukono to consistently apply their learning in practice and to behave ethically in the communities where they will work.
The Bishop made this appeal during his sermon at the school's St. Francis Day celebration.
In his address, Kakooza encouraged the students to seek wisdom and expressed gratitude to the school's founders for their dedication in establishing the institution.
He advised the students to embrace their future careers and to treat patients with compassion, regardless of their financial situation.
"Always show care and love for the poor, the needy, the sick, and the abandoned. Make sure to implement what your teachers have taught you, including maintaining a clean environment," Kakooza stated.
Additionally, Bishop Kakooza inaugurated a new building complex named the Christopher Kakooza Complex.
The institutional management assured both the Bishop and the students that a hospital would soon be constructed to support practical training for the students.
Kakooza stressed the importance of gaining wisdom and expressed his appreciation to the school's founders for their commitment to creating this institution.
