Six students flagged off to europe

Today, six students from Uganda were Set out for Europe on June 19th to take part in practical internships in a variety of fields, including as agriculture, hospitality, nursing, and mechanical work. This programme, is  run by Eduserv Education and Denmark's Bixter Training, which attempts to counteract Uganda's rising unemployment rate, and  currently at 3.39% and disproportionately affects young people, recent graduates, and experienced workers.

These students will be heading to Denmark, Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands for paid internships, allowing them to gain practical experience while earning a living. This effort is part of a larger program, with 50 students already participating out of a projected total of 200. The initiative aligns with Uganda's new curriculum, which emphasizes hands-on learning and STEM education.

Mr. Gabura Nebert, CEO of Eduserv, emphasized the purpose of the programme during the flag-off event. "At Eduserv, we became aware of Uganda's significant employment crisis and made the decision to work with international organisations such as the British Council. Through these partnerships, students are able to obtain paid internships and eventually jobs, which helps to lower the unemployment rate in Uganda," he said.

Mr. Nebert emphasized Eduserv's commitment to shaping the future of Ugandan students through education and work.

"We are committed to shaping the future of education in Uganda by coordinating outbound graduate training and student exchange programs. We strive to globally empower young minds by offering international practical training and facilitating study abroad journeys," he added.
