Prime Minister Nabbanja enumerated for census
Premier Nabbanja is enumerated from her country home in Kakumiro

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has been enumerated in the going National Housing and Population Census.

The enumeration exercise was conducted this morning at her country home in Kinena A Cell, Kakumiro Town Council in Kakumiro District and witnessed by Dr Alen Kabagenyi, a board member of the Uganda Bureau of Statics.

The premier encouraged "all Ugandans to embrace the exercise saying it is not just a count but a critical tool for development and democracy".

The census exercise that started last night will be done in 10 days.

After every 10 years, Uganda holds a national census and the last one was carried out in 2014.

The 2024 National census is the first of it's kind to use digital technology to collect, process and disseminate census results.

The census figures play a critical role in guiding planning, policy formulation, and programme implementation.
