Global law firm appoints growth expert to drive expansion into Uganda

NAIROBI | Pan-African Adili Group has announced the appointment of business growth expert Chris Diaz as its executive chairman, with responsibility to oversee the growth of its law firm, ALN, in the region.

Adili Group's regional footprint includes Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda and Mr Diaz is tasked with the Africa growth, including expanding the business in Uganda.

"His extensive experience and global perspective will be instrumental as we continue to refine our strategy and approach to new markets," said Karim Anjarwalla, ALN board director and ALN Kenya senior partner.

"By merging legal expertise, technology, and scalable delivery capabilities, Chris will play a key role in fostering trust and delivering sustainable outcomes for our clients.”

Adili's current law firms in the region are ALN Kenya and ALN Tanzania.

Mr Diaz boasts 33 years of executive experience and a proven track record of business acumen with an extensive background in business growth strategies and leadership across Africa, Europe and the Middle East and Asia region.

The appointment of the former edible oil makers Bidco Africa board member and Kenya Airways marketing director is seen as a strategic step towards enhancing the delivery of integrated and relevant client services across Adili Group's multiple business lines.

"This strategic move aims to foster collaboration and embrace cutting-edge technology as a key enabler of efficient service delivery," the Pan-African firm said.

"Chris’ expertise in business leadership, market planning, and growth initiatives will be instrumental in helping clients navigate an increasingly complex business environment across borders with agility and efficiency."

Over his 33-year experience, Mr Diaz has tucked under his belt a deep understanding of international marketing and business dynamics in Africa, establishes him as an experienced leader in innovation, growth, and market leadership.

This is expected to help accelerate the strategic vision of the Firms and Adili Group.
