Fenon Events delivers at this year's Global Symposium for Regulators

Having been trusted to produce and foresee the 2024 Global Symposium for Regulators at Speke Resort and Convention Centre, Munyonyo, Fenon Events delivered on the job.

The  Fenon team did an outstanding job on the production and gave it the aura it deserved. From the several set-up at the Rwenzori convention hall, to the decorations in the gardens, everything turned out the way the organizers wanted.

Among the participants for the symposium included George William Nnyombi Thembo, Executive Director Uganda Communications Commission, Doreen Bogdan-Martin Secretary-General ITU, Chris Baromunsi Minister Ministry of ICT and National Guidance Uganda and Jessica Alupo, Vice President of Uganda.

The GSR-24 featured thematic sessions bringing together regulators, policymakers and digital stakeholders from around the world and providing a global platform for knowledge exchange around the topic “Regulation for impact”.

The first day had the Regional Regulatory Associations and Digital Regulation Network (DRN) meeting before the heads of the Regulators Executive Roundtable charting the course of transformative technologies and a welcome cocktail.

The second day had the Industry Advisory Group on Development Issues and Private Sector Chief Regulatory Officer’s (IAGDI-CRO) Meeting before the Opening ceremony with a high-level segment discuss maximizing digital opportunities for impact, then a ministerial conversation and interactive regulators and digital stakeholder conversation.

Session 2 was about the space economy and dialogue on tools for sustainable space (special event) before a gala dinner.

The third day  had  session three concentrating on connecting everyone, everything, everywhere, all at once and session four  was about mastering digital transformation.

There was also a network of Women (NoW) in ITU-D interactive session before the final cockatiel

While in session 5, the area focused on was safe and inclusive digital financial services and then AI and robotics for positive impact was the key area in session 6.

Thursday was the last day and it had session 7 concentrating on Agile regulation for innovation, harnessing digital for climate action was in session 8 and this was the final bit of the conference.
