The MOU was signed on Wednesday between Moses Turyagumanawe, the Unicaf Uganda Marketing Manager and Suzan Muhoza, the first vice president of Old Budonian Club at the latter's offices in Kampala.
"Old Budonian is one the reputable clubs that brings together different students and alumni of Kings College Budo. We had to make this partnership happen in order to continue extending and making it possible for members, their staff and families to study and get internationally recognised degrees at an affordable cost," Turyagumanawe said.
He said this is yet another opportunity for members of the club to advance in different programmes of education.
Suzan Muhoza said there was no better time than now, for the partnership.
"I believe this opportunity is going to avail more answers for members of Old Budonian club who want to further their education because of the packages that have been offered. The ease of the scholarships, the discounts, its going to provide alot more opportunities to those who want to further their education up to PhD level." She said
Muhoza hailed Unicaf University for the opportunity and pledged a very positive relationship with the them.
James Phillip Kigongo, a decade representative at OBC, said whereas many people have been locked to the UK traditional Universities, Unicaf opens out to other universities which are good and available to all without segregation.
Kigongo added that UK has always been out of reach due to costs but with Unicaf's online learning it will now be easy for members to further their education.
"The problem has been cost. UK was always out of reach but with hybrid learning, this can go down. This is really opening it up to all classes of people," Kigongo said.
According to officials, Unicaf University extends degree programs right from bachelors, masters and PhDs to students.
